Race Director of Fort Collins Children's Triathlon and Family Fun Run
Ryan Joyal has been in Fort Collins for 12 years. This is his 8th year teaching fifth grade at O'Dea Core Knowledge Elementary. He has raced in 8 triathlons, both sprint and Olympic, over the last two years and looks forward to many more.
Deirdre is an O'Dea parent (kindergartener and 5th grader) and also has a 15 month-old who already loves to ride bikes! She loves cycling, being outside with family and friends and advocating for children's health and wellness. Deirdre recently completed her first century ride and looks forward to helping hook Fort Collins kids on spinning their wheels!
Julie Morain loves to run and has completed numerous races including two marathons. She recently completed a triathlon with her youngest son and two of her sisters.
Julie is married to Bob Morain who also enjoys running. Julie is the mother of five children, all who have attended schools in PSD including the youngest who is currently a sophomore at Fort Collins High School. Helping others understand the importance of health and wellness in our families, our schools and our community is something that Julie is passionate about.
Emily is a mom to two boys (a 1st grader at O'Dea and a 2-year old). As Volunteer Coordinator, Emily knows that massive nubmers of dedicated volunteers are needed to make events run smoothly and she is looking forward to working behind the scenes to help the triathlon run flawlessly.
Heather is a proud parent of an O'Dea 4th grader and an O'Dea alumnus as well as an avid PSD volunteer. She is a recent student herself, earning her degree in Graphic Design.
She loves being outdoors and spending time with her family and is looking forward to helping spread health awareness with the community.
